Welcome!
My name is Pam and I am a midwife, a mom, a sister, a daughter, a granddaughter (yes, I do have a living grandma, she is currently in her 90s and a huge part of who I am), a grandma, an aunt, a soap maker, and so much more! It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words and this one has a lot to say: I love plants, knitting, and blue is one of my favorite colors. It may also say something about the fact that I've given up attempting to hide my grey hair and that pictures aren't my favorite thing to do.

What is a midwife?
A midwife is a trained healthcare professional who provides care to healthy individuals during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and after birth. They often provide this care in a setting outside the hospital but are trained to recognize when something is beyond their scope to facilitate transfer of care to an appropriate setting. Midwives practice according to the Midwives Model of Care.
You can learn more about the Midwives Model of Care at mana.org/about-midwives/midwifery-model.
